...I'd buy you a green dress but not a real green dress, that's cruel.

So the kitchen is finally complete... I had no idea I'd derive such joy from gaining two extra inches in sink depth, and two lazy susans (I'm pretending like we're rich), and the thought of buying new kitchen towels and oven mitts its more excitement than I can take. Sweet fancy Moses!

Your kitchen looks great! Isn't it crazy what's exciting these days?? Who would have thought? :)

Caleb, you picked wonderful styles and colors. I especially like how the brushed chrome knobs echo the dark granite look of the counter tops. The finish on the cabinets themselves evokes a sense of light, yet the faintest of rose hues are barely there, letting the viewer think that its a reflection from some soft source off camera if you will. Quite the imagination in your thought processes. And I especially like the flat panel look, allowing the honest grain of the wood to express itself without overwhelming the room like a reddish cherry might. All in all, great job. Annie, see if you can find some towels to complement Caleb's work.

Annie, if I were you, I wouldn't even WANT the inheritance now.

*sigh* it shouldn't surprise me. dad's been taking credit for mom's good cooking since we were little, so why shouldn't he give Caleb all the credit for the fabulous color scheme? if empty compliments make them feel better, i'm happy for them.

Okay. Enough of the beautiful kitchen. Why have we not seen a picture of Little Miss w/ her Uncle Dave?
